Parishes around the diocese will offer a Lenten Penance Services. These services help the parish communities recognize their sinfulness and turn back to God by seeking His forgiveness and mercy. The services will include readings from Scripture on conversion and repentance as well as a brief reflection on sin and the importance of confession. The priest will lead the congregation in an Examination of Conscience for those who want to prepare to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
