CASSELBERRY | A recently completed project at Pathways to Care has brought one scout closer to earning his Eagle rank. Clayton B. completed the almost $3,000 project which involved building a sensory garden designed to provide enjoyment and health benefits for patients at the assisted living facility. Pathways to Care caters to people who need rehabilitation after a hospital stay but have nowhere to go.
Studies show sensory gardens can help mitigate symptoms of neurological disorders and aid in the development of those with mental health conditions. The garden features a water element and colorful, aromatic plants of different textures.
