Join Bishop John Noonan as he celebrates the Consecration to Virginity of Isabella Vella, Tuesday, Jan. 21, noon-1 p.m., at Most Precious Blood Parish, 113 Lockwood Blvd., Oviedo.

Vella is the fourth woman to be consecrated to virginity in the Diocese of Orlando. A consecrated virgin is a woman who has been consecrated by the Church to a life of perpetual virginity as a bride of Christ. Consecrated virgins spend their time in works of penance and mercy, in apostolic activity and prayer, according to their state of life and spiritual gifts.

Vella will live out her vocation to pray for priests and religious and serve her community and diocese through her work as an occupational therapist.
