ALTAMONTE SPRINGS | Bishop John Noonan joined diocesan priests and elected officials to serve soups donated by 12 area restaurants to patrons supporting Pathways to Care, an assisted living facility that provides medical respite to people experiencing homelessness.

Sixteen Pathways residents designed bowls for auction, each containing symbols relating to their personal journeys. Father John Bluett, who helped found the facility, and Bishop Noonan also had bowls of their own to auction. The event, which took place at St. Mary Magdalen Parish in Altamonte Springs, rallied community partners Light Orlando, St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church Council of Catholic Women, Comfort Canines of Central Florida and Nativity Catholic Church in Longwood.
