ORLANDO | Thousands of Catholic school students throughout the Diocese of Orlando’s nine counties, returned to school Aug. 12.

The theme for the 2024-2025 year is, “We are instruments of your peace.”

“This theme will guide us throughout the academic year, reminding us of our mission and the values we strive to instill in our students,” said new superintendent, Dr. Erika Wikstrom. “Catholic schools are communities of faith. The mission of Catholic schools is to not only encourage our children to love God’s plan for their lives, but also to teach them that they can be holy – and to encourage them to embrace the pursuit of that holiness with a resounding ‘yes’.”
