The Diocese of Orlando Human Trafficking Task Force hosted a vigil for victims at Center Lake Park in Oviedo. The prayer service brought out almost 50 people out in the cold and rain Feb. 8. Among the speakers were Oviedo Mayor Megan Sladek, Seminole County Human Trafficking Task Force chairwoman Jen Edwards, trafficking survivor and Senior Director of Mobile Units Marianne Thomas, Detective Monika Sirianni with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, and Christine Commerce, director of the Diocese of Orlando Human Trafficking Task Force.
