The mission of the Office of Outreach & Prevention is to prevent abuse of children and vulnerable persons through education and awareness. The Diocese of Orlando is committed to protecting all children and vulnerable persons by offering safe environment training and fingerprint/background checks. Diocesan Policy requires all church personnel and volunteers working with children and vulnerable populations complete safe environment training in addition to a background/fingerprint clearance.

Learning about L.I.F.E. (Love, Infatuation, Friendship, and Exploitation) is designed to help parents talk to their children about relationships, sexuality, chastity, and abuse. The L.I.F.E. sessions are designed to cover these sensitive topics in an engaging, interactive manner, using language and activities that are appropriate to various age groups, from pre-school to high school.
