AWARDS CEREMONY

To commemorate the Diocese of Orlando’s 40th anniversary, a new Diocesan Medal has been established to recognize individuals who represent outstanding examples of faith and stewardship.

MARY, MOTHER OF GOD DIOCESAN MEDAL
Criteria:

• Practicing Catholics, active in their parish;
• Men or women who are leaders and outstanding examples of faith and stewardship with a strong commitment to faith and family
• Consideration given to length and depth of service
• Serve as Witnesses to Hope and are Alive in Christ

In May, 2007 nominations for diocesan awards were submitted to Bishop Thomas Wenski by pastors, chancery and affiliated entity directors. A committee, appointed by Bishop Thomas Wenski, reviewed the nominations and submitted recommendations to Bishop Wenski for approval.

The awards will be announced during the Awards Ceremony and Evening Prayer on Friday, May 9th at 6:00 pm at the Orange County Convention Center South Concourse. Come celebrate the honorees and join in our prayer of thanks for the dedication of all of Christ’s faithful who labor in the Lord’s name through their unselfish service.
